When directing the light into space, we amplify space. When capturing sound through mics and playing it through speakers, increasing it original volume, bringing it closer to the audience, we amplify sound but also space. Space that is distant that we might not see but hear and therefore, imagine. When walking in the room being attentive to our steps, sending our feet into the ground, we amplify sound but also body. We become more aware of how we carry our body, of the tempo we create through our steps. When using doors and parts of our body as shade for light, we amplify the space between the light and its shade, the colour of skin and surface. When making darkness, we amplify the capacity to sense things which might have gone by unnoticed.
